I'm having a thought about next weekend and something to do with the girls. Any plans?

No, it's a good idea. I was just teasing you. Honestly, I would love to see her reaction to Disneyland.

I'm also more surprised that you're willing to stick a crowbar into your vacation days. You have what? three years worth saved up?

Four.

And I finally have a reason to use them.

You know, all you had to do was ask.

So, did you want to actually make plans or just show up and hope we can find a hotel room close?

I know. Now.

Already made them. Figured it was easier to cancel than rush.

So what are our plans, oh vacation master?

Leave Friday night, Saturday at the park. Sunday, maybe a cruise down to show Giselle the ocean and then back home.

Unless something better comes along?

Sounds good! Do we want to tell the girls or surprise them? It'd be good for them to get to know each other.

I can't wait for Giselle to see that place.

Lindsay's got more of a social life. Might want to make sure she wants to go, first.

Giselle will go to the moon if I tell her I think it's a good idea.

She will survive a weekend with her mother.

She would, but you are a nice person, so you won't manipulate her like that. You said she likes roller coasters right? She'll love Space Mountain.

I can't imagine she wouldn't want to spend time with you. Me, however...

Yes. Roller coasters, lemonade, balloons, birds. I'll have to explain to her that Mickey won't talk back.

It still boggles my mind that someone as smart as she is, could be that naive. It's really like she came from a Disney cartoon.

I can see it now. Disney princess meets grumpy introverted crime scene investigator. Could be a magical moment.

What's to plan? Reservation was made before I even asked you.

Don't we need to plan things like meal reservations, things like that?

Have you never been to Disneyland? What am I thinking, you probably haven't. Yes. it's a good idea to look into doing reservations for meals otherwise we'll be stuck with just the chicken and burgers of the counter service places.

Are you implying they don't have restaurants in California?

I'm just thinking about eating at the resort. If you don't want to eat there we don't have to. I'll just step back and let you plan this trip.

If you think we should do that, we'll do that. You would know better than me, at this point.

I'll tell you what, Let me know what hotel you have us in, and I'll make us some reservations. Since we're taking our kids, I can help you plan this.

It's called Anaheim Desert Inn -- it's across the street. Figured closer was better.

OK, sounds good. I'll see what I can find reservation-wise at the park. At least for one of the days. Maybe I'll see if I can find something at the hotel for a nice evening.

They don't actually have anything. It's surrounded by most everything Vegas has, though. So there should be something for everyone.

Clearly, I should have thought this through a little more

OK, I got us reservations at the restaurant at the Grand Californian resort. And I got us lunch reservations at the Blue Bayou at the Pirates ride. I also got us reservations for the Trattoria restaurant at California adventure for an afternon too. We're only going to be there a couple days right? or three?

Yes I will. Does she need anything? Jacket? Another dress? I know she doesn't like to wear pants.

I would assume whatever you and Lindsay would pack.
